The project of the new building substituting the current one, envisages the realisation of a different construction typology: the present building consists of two development units overlapping each other with an internal communal staircase, while the reconstruction project has two development units next to each other. Both units are provided with a basement, used as car garage,  connected by another internal staircase to the appropriate ground floor, where there is space for kitchen, living room and laundry. From the ground floor, there is another staircase to access the first floor, where the 'sleeping area' is.

The building's main structure is in buffered reinforced concrete with proton type brickworks, covered with thermal coating (EPFL: Exterior Insulation and Finishing System); the roof is flat and made of concrete and masonry in the area above the hallways, while is pitched and in wood for the rest of the area.

On the ground floor, both units look out towards north and south to light up the interiors but mainly to guarantee that opposing windows trigger natural ventilation.

On the most sunkisseds external fronts, there are some solar shadings such as projecting roofs and brise - soleil,  so to limit the main summer's heat without compromising on the natural light during the winter time.
