The goal of the yearbook is to support, promote and communicate the work of Roman architects and the quality architecture they create all over the world.
The projects here presented clearly express the quality and high level achieved by Italian architecture, these architects’ creativity, the evolution of forms, the new materials and technology employed which respond to today’s way of life.
We are pleased to be part of it and to see our work accredited by including our project in such important publication.

The pavilion is the metaphor of the topographic complexity of the Italian cities and of the similarity between design complexities of many building elements coming into a unique, pure volume; typical succession of Italian streets and squares with the network of ancient Chinese… cities.

Bringing the best of Italy to Shanghai and communicating it so that it could excite for a period of six months the visitors of the most popular Universal Exposition, has been a challenge and a fantastic venture at the same time. We succeed in bringing to China the best our… country can offer, avoiding the stereotypes,highlighting the Italian excellence.

Italian excellence of the urban life quality projects the concept of the innovation excellence towards sustainable building techniques; up to conceive a square surface of 3600 sqm, 18m high bioclimatic machine-building. The central hall represents the core from the microclimate… point of view, being the transition and first acclimation area comparing to other more acclimatized areas.

The Italian pavilion is a true miniature city, with an accurate cultural reference to the composite character of our country: It talks about Italians, their creativity and their ancient culture. The project includes the use of a structural typology apt to allow large spans,… able to ensure the greatest flexibility for the shape, function and space distribution.
