The requalification project of travellers building, in Rimini railway station, in Italy, is part of the  improvement project of the station central underpass.
The intervention is part of the Programming Agreement signed by Italian Railway Network (RFI) and Rimini Municipality, with the aim of redevelop urban areas adjacent to the station.
The project  provides for the extension of the existing underpass, in order to provide the access to the station platforms also in the seaside area of the city. 
The objective is to transform the actual underpass in an “urban crossing”. 
The intervention aims to improve the accessibility to the station and to the platforms, through the realization of a direct access to the underpass from inside the main building of the station served also by escalator, requalification of the station underpass and insertion of escalator and of access to the sidewalk, extension of the underpass. 
The underpass extension measures about 60 m – 70 m, for a total length of 120 m and possible extension. The project is divided in three principal works: the existing underpass extension for about 50 m, the realization of a new building seaside, in order to formalize the access to the station from the seaside area of the city, through the extended underpass, the improving accessibility to the underpass from city centre side through the realization of new direct linking stairs and elevators between the underpass and the atrium of the station.
